I wanted my wedding theme to be asian inspired, incorporating orchids, bamboo, wood, rocks, candles and earth tones. To accentuate the design and decor that I envisioned, I chose parasols and hand fans as my favors while serving as a source of relief from the sun and heat.

I found my wedding gown at Rin's Bridal, a small full service bridal salon in San Carlos, California, established since 1982.
From the outside, the store lacks pizzazz and curb appeal. Inside, it
is packed to the brim with wedding gowns, bridesmaids, flowergirl and
mother-of-bride dresses, along with shoes, veils, lingerie, and other
accessories.

After many endless days and nights of research, I found that you can easily spend between $300 - $800 on wedding invitations, depending on the number of invitations, kind of paper, style, color and various options.
Considering that I was only inviting 30 guests, I was shocked at the prices! Wtih my beloved groom whining about rising wedding costs, I decided to create my own wedding invitations. Aside from significant costs savings, making my own invitations appealed to me on other levels also. I would be able to make exactly what I wanted for a price which I controlled. PERFECT!!!

If you're planning to do a destination wedding in Maui and are looking for a good coordinator, I recommend using White Orchid Weddings (aka WOW). And how appropriate a name.
I had visited many Hawaii wedding coordinating websites, and I found
WOW to have the best website and services available. First of all, I
was impressed with the look and design of the website. I really felt
they captured the style and feel I was looking for in a tropical
wedding affair. WOW really captured my interest and attention and I
was eager to start collaborating with them.

We got Deb's ring from French Jewelry in San Francisco. French Jewerly is run by two brothers: Serge and Vicken. From the first day Deb saw their work, she knew that was the place for her. I'm told their style is antique / vintage and since I'm no expert, I
will just pass that on to you, dear reader. One characteristic that immediately
struck me when I first saw their work was the great deal of intricate detail. Most of their jewlery is hand made right there at the store by
Vicken.
